Using the WoZ Method to Study Embodied AI for Future Education: A Scope Review

In recent years, there has been a growing call to integrate artificial intelligence into education. In particular, embodied artificial intelligence (EAI) has attracted attention as a potential replacement for human teachers. Since the technical difficulty and high cost of EAI are often key issues hindering research, many researchers suggest using the WoZ approach to overcome obstacles. This article attempts to use a systematic literature review synthesis the research progress in this field, especially the main topics, advantages and limitations of using WoZ in educational EAI research.
