Techniques of the Intelligent Electronic Devices and Network Monitoring System in Smart Grid

The smart grid is an improvement of the old electrical power grid that operates mostly in a one-way flow of power, with cutting-edge technology, the smart grid can function as a two-way system. A monitoring system that can record all electricity flows in the power grid is part of the smart grid. Automation and a communication system are also used to control the power grid's relays, circuit breakers, and switches. This improvement will have an increase in economic growth of the government capital. This paper aims to designs, and implements the key technology of the IEC61850 standard and communication technologies. The techniques to be assessed are like “substation automation hierarchy levels, Smart substation Architectural model configuration and check, solving the urgent problems of monitoring System in the Smart Distribution Substation model configuration and model check about substation simply presents comparison between conventional and smart distribution substations. This study prioritizes improving power system monitoring, reducing the maneuver time from the control center, and also providing all data, information, and full control from the substation to the control center operator in real time to avoid overloading on transformers, cables, and equipment failure.
