Design of Organic Matrix Pressure Sensor for Artificial Electronic Skin

With the continuous advancement of digital healthcare and manufacturing technology, flexible and soft wearable devices can fully adhere to the surface of the human body, monitor human motion and health signals, and achieve multiple sensing functions. Due to the thin, lightweight, bendable, and excellent mechanical properties of organic printed electronics, they are naturally suitable for pressure and temperature sensors, flexible displays, RFID, or wearable devices. By equipping with active matrix pressure sensors, electronic skin can accurately sense spatially distributed tactile stimuli, and artificial electronic skin that can recognize tactile information is crucial for robot and prosthetic applications. This article mainly studies the construction of basic logic gates using organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Based on organic printing technology, a matrix pressure sensor is designed for artificial electronic skin, and simulation verification is completed on Cadence. From the perspective of the structural design and future applications of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), the current limitations and future research of OFETs are summarized.
