Design of a High-Sensitivity Ultra-Low Power WakeUp Receiver

The chip is designed using a 65 nm complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process, operating at a carrier frequency of 109 MHz and a data rate of 33.3 bps. Simulation results demonstrate that the designed wake-up receiver (WuRX) achieves a sensitivity of $\mathbf{- 8 1. 8 d B m}$ under conditions of a miss detection rate below $0.1 \%$ and a false alarm rate below $1 /$ hour. Simultaneously, the overall power consumption of the WuRX is only 5.6 nW at a low supply voltage of 0.4 V. Compared to classical WuRX designs, this work achieves higher sensitivity while maintaining low power consumption.
