Study on Multi-Objective Optimization Method for Deep-Sea Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

This paper comprehensively investigates a multi-objective optimization method for deep-sea permanent magnet synchronous motors (DSPMSMs). In contrast to conventional motors, DSPMSMs exhibit a markedly different loss distribution, and the material properties deteriorate significantly under deep-sea high-pressure environments. Consequently, the conventional permanent magnet synchronous motors multi-objective optimization method (CPMSMMOM) is inadequate for DSPMSMs. In this study, a DSPMSMs multi-objective optimization method (DSPMSMMOM) is proposed, based on an in-depth analysis of the loss distribution characteristics of DSPMSMs and the impact of high-pressure environments on material properties. To validate the efficacy of the proposed method, a comparative analysis is conducted between optimal designs of DSPMSMMOM and CPMSMMOM. Furthermore, two prototypes are manufactured based on the optimization results for experimental validation. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results substantiate the effectiveness and superiority of the DSPMSMMOM introduced in this paper.
