Bidirectional Energy-Storage Converter Based on Partial Power Processing

This paper proposes a high-efficiency bidirectional converter based on partial power processing for energy storage applications. This converter combines an unregulated LLC converter with a bidirectional active-clamp flyback converter. The topology achieves regulation across wide voltage range and demonstrates active power decoupling in simulation, reducing input current ripple by 96% compared to traditional solutions. Experimental results confirm the feasibility, with soft switching achieved in the DC-DC stage. The design offers a compact and efficient solution for residential photovoltaic systems.
