Efficient Path Planning and Link Stability-Based Channel Modeling for UAV-Guided Communication

Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is one among the subset of mobile communication that consists of vehicle-based servers to perform communication among wireless routers. Nowadays, due to the increase in the number of vehicles in the network, traffic congestion issues are created in the urban environment. To overcome such drawbacks and to reduce the congestion and daily occurrences among the vehicles, unmanned aerial networks (UAVs) are developed that completely neglect the ground-level obstacles, and the transmission is completely carried out in the air medium so maximum of the congestion is produced and some of the issues like insufficient bandwidth utilization and overhead are reduced. Currently, proper UAV network construction becomes a challenging task for effective monitoring of the vehicles in the network. To find a feasible pathway between the source and the destination in an effective manner, in this article, efficient path planning and link stability-based channel modeling (EPLCM-UAV) is developed in the UAV environment. The core module of this process is cooperative UAV network model construction and generative parts with fitness evaluation model creation. Through this process, the efficiency of the overall network is greatly increased and that leads to maximizing the reliability of the vehicles. The implementation of the proposed model is constructed in the software NS3 and the parameters that are considered to improve the network performance are packet delivery ratio, energy efficiency, data loss, routing overhead, and average delay. From the final results, it is proven that the EPLCM-UAV obtained better results in terms of delivery ratio and efficiency when compared with the earlier researches.
