Robust Hybrid Holographic Beamforming Scheme Under the RHS Based UAV IoT System

The reconfigurable holographic surface (RHS) based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) internet of things (IoT) system is significantly impacted by complicated wind disturbance. Previous research on UAV attitude adjustment brings inevitable adjustment errors, indicating the necessity of mitigating these inaccuracies. In this context, we turn to explore a robust holographic hybrid beamforming scheme under the RHS based UAV IoT system to effectively deal with the adverse effect of non-ideal UAV attitude adjustment. The objective function is modeled as the sum mean square error (MSE) with the UAV attitude adjustment error. Based on it, a heuristic algorithm is proposed, where the digital part is designed on the minimum ergodic sum MSE subproblem, while the analog part is designed on the max-min signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) subproblem. Furthermore, simulation results show that our scheme outperforms existing benchmark schemes in sum-rate and bit error rate (BER).
