K-P2PLab: A Scalable Docker Swarm-Based Testbed for Peer-to-Peer Topology Analysis

This paper presents K-P2PLab, a testbed and analysis platform for peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. The platform constructs and operates a network of Docker container-based libp2p nodes, enabling real-time collection of peer connection data for topology analysis. Given that topology plays a critical role in P2P performance yet remains difficult to observe in realworld networks, our platform offers a practical environment to examine topology dynamics and structural characteristics. We demonstrate the utility of the system through experiments that construct various P2P networks and analyze their topologies.
