Studies on Photovoltaic Power Generation Forecast Using Satellite Images

To achieve carbon neutrality, renewable energy is essential. However, its output fluctuates with weather conditions. This paper has aimed to improve the accuracy of photovoltaic power generation forecasts using satellite images. Specifically, hourly satellite images were analyzed and cloud cover and cloud movement were used as features. The effectiveness of the features has verified by simulation using real data.
