Analysis of Fuzzy Control Strategy Combined with Active Disturbance Rejection for Shore Power Winches

This paper analyzes the factors influencing the tension variations during the cable reeling process of shore power winches and establishes a corresponding dynamic model. Through dynamic analysis of the cable drum under both uniform and accelerated/decelerated motion conditions, it is found that the cable tension is primarily affected by factors such as the motor output torque, cable winding radius, and conveying speed, forming a complex multivariable nonlinear system. To achieve stable cable tension control, a Fuzzy-ADRC control strategy is proposed. This strategy integrates the advantages of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) and fuzzy control, thereby significantly enhancing the system's robustness and adaptability. Simulation results using Matlab/Simulink demonstrate that the Fuzzy-ADRC strategy exhibits superior control performance under three working conditions: speed changes, load changes, and variations in cable drum radius. Compared with traditional PID control, Fuzzy-ADRC shows significantly reduced overshoot and faster recovery to steady-state conditions. Specifically, the overshoot is reduced from 25% to 1.5% under speed change conditions; the settling time is shortened from 8 seconds to 3 seconds under load change conditions; and the tension fluctuations are maintained within 2.5% under varying cable drum radius conditions. Additionally, the proposed method achieves a recovery time of only 2.1 seconds under 50Hz strong disturbances, highlighting its excellent anti-interference capabilities. In summary, the simulation results indicate that the Fuzzy-ADRC strategy holds significant practical value for stable tension control of shore power winch cables and can provide a reliable solution for smart port energy systems.
