Control Strategy for Hybrid Energy Storage System in DC Microgrid Based on Equivalent-Input-Disturbance

Addresses the power uncertainty of emerging energy sources and the volatility of load fluctuations by proposing a control method for the Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) in a DC microgrid based on the Equivalent-Input-Disturbances (EID) approach, aiming to enhance system stability. First, a modeling and analysis of the hybrid energy storage system is conducted, with a focus on the dynamic characteristics of the DC bus voltage. An EID-based control method is then introduced to optimize the operation of the bidirectional DC/DC converters within the hybrid energy storage system. Finally, simulation scenarios involving photovoltaic power fluctuations and load variations are performed using MATLAB/Simulink. The results are compared with traditional PI-based control, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
