Time-to-Go Inversion Guidance Considering Impact and Field-of-View Constraints

This paper presents a novel guidance law designed to achieve simultaneous impact time and angle control while adhering to field-of-view (FOV) constraints. Unlike existing approaches, the proposed method first formulates the missile's time-to-go as an explicit function and then obtains an FOV-limited impact angle control guidance (IACG) law using an inverse design methodology. A key advantage of this method is that the resulting guidance law not only satisfies the impact angle and FOV constraints but also provides an accurate analytical solution for the time-to-go, enabling precise control of the impact time. Building on this foundation, a bias term based on the accurate time-to-go solution is integrated into the proposed IACG law, resulting in a novel impact time and angle control guidance (ITACG) law with FOV constraints. Extensive numerical simulations are conducted across various scenarios to validate the effectiveness, robustness, and convergence of the proposed guidance law.
