Analysis of the Fluid-Structure Interaction Dynamics of Flexible Airship

A flexible airship dynamic model is developed by coupling flight dynamics and elastic mechanics. The nonlinear model is linearized for stability analysis. Simulation results show that the airship's fluid-structure motion includes a neutral mode, four oscillatory modes, and a monotonic mode. The third-order oscillatory mode significantly affects stability. The ratio of state variables in each mode changes little with velocity, and elastic deformation dominates across all modes.
