Performance Improvement of Brushless DC Motor Using Improved Super-Twisting Algorithm

Brushless DC motor is widely used in industrial production and daily life. In order to meet the increasing requirements of motor control performance, sliding-mode control strategy is widely used to improve the dynamic performance and disturbance rejection ability of motor systems. In this paper, an improved super-twisting algorithm is designed for a brushless DC motor control system, which achieves fast convergence of the rotor position to its reference value under load variations. Through the comparison with the proportional strategy, the control performance of the proposed strategy is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation under different operation conditions.
