Active Disturbance Rejection Control-Based Voltage Tracking for Wireless Power Transfer System

This paper is concerned with the output voltage tracking control problem for inductive coupled power transfer (ICPT) systems. To address the external disturbances caused by various reasons, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) frame-work is developed. The proposed ADRC method employs a tracking differentiator (TD) to smooth the reference trajectory, and provide its derivative. Subsequently, an extended state observer (ESO) is utilized to dynamically estimate and compensate for both internal uncertainties (e.g., parameter variations or unmodeled dynamics) and external disturbances (e.g., load fluctuations or sensor noise). Finally, a state error feedback control (SEFC) law is designed to regulate the output voltage based on the processed signals from the TD and ESO, ensuring an expected voltage tracking performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ADRC method effectively suppresses disturbances, maintains robust performance under varying loads, and achieves reliable voltage regulation.
