Optimal Placement of EV Charging Stations Based on Game Theory

With the development of new energy technologies, electric vehicles have been recognized by people around the world and are becoming more and more popular in many countries, and an effective electric vehicle charging station placement is crucial for the rapid growth of electric vehicles. To solve the optimal placement problem of electric vehicles, this paper proposes a method based on game theory to optimize the placement of electric vehicle charging stations and constructs a utility function with the contradictory performance of total cost and coverage rate of electric vehicle charging stations. The simulation results show that the proposed method can find a balance between minimizing the total cost of electric vehicle charging stations and maximizing the coverage of electric vehicle charging stations, and giving the optimal placement of electric vehicle charging stations.
