Robust Stabilization of Multi-Input Linear Systems: Hybrid Event-Triggered Control

This paper proposes a hybrid control strategy to address the robust stabilization problem of multi-input linear systems. The proposed strategy integrates event-triggered sliding mode control (ETSMC) and event-triggered impulsive control (ETIC) to enhance system performance and robustness. While ETIC is effective in stabilizing systems through discrete control actions, it may fail to pull the state trajectory to the center of the sliding mode band when the initial state of system is excessively large, and it can only guarantee the exclusion of Zeno behavior in semi-global sense, that is, there is no unified lower bound for the inter-event time. To address these limitations on ETIC, the proposed hybrid control strategy incorporates ETSMC, which can ensure that the inter-event time has a unified lower bound and drive the state trajectory to the central sliding manifold even when the initial state of system is excessively large and in the presence of external perturbations. Finally, an example is provided to confirm the practicability of the results.
