Digital Multi-Polarization Modulation and Its Self-Reconstruction for Resisting Nonlinear Amplification

The polarization characteristics of electromagnetic waves have garnered attention in wireless communication for their potential to enhance channel capacity and energy efficiency. This work investigates digital polarization modulation and its inherent resilience to nonlinear distortions. A dual-polarization wireless communication system is developed, considering power amplifier nonlinearities. To mitigate distortions, we propose polarization-constrained amplitude and phase self-reconstruction techniques. Results demonstrate that the proposed scheme reduces power back-off requirements by approximately 5 dB, showcasing its promise for energy-efficient wireless communication.
