Self-Powered Meta-Device for Detecting and Shielding High-Power Stray Microwaves

In this paper, we present a self-powered meta-device that autonomously shields sensitive electronics from external stray microwaves. The meta-device integrates a reconfigurable metasurface with rectifying antennas. A prototype operating in the 6.0-6.7 GHz range has been fabricated. The meta-device automatically transitions from high-transmission mode to shielding or absorbing mode when its detected power exceeds 20 dBm. This innovation represents a significant advancement in electromagnetic shielding, offering a sustainable, autonomous, and maintenance-free solution for high-power microwave protection and adaptive stealth applications.
