Wideband, Wide-Angle Scanning Active Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface

This paper proposes a high-performance ARIS (Active Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) designed to meet the requirements for bandwidth, maximum scanning angle, gain, and noise figure (NF). The ARIS is based on the principle of polarization conversion, with SISL technology applied to each component to enhance performance by reducing insertion loss and noise. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ARIS achieves a 3-dB gain bandwidth of 4.65–6 GHz, a peak active gain of 36.6 dB at 5.5 GHz, and a system NF of less than 1.2 dB. These results show significant advantages over existing solutions, positioning the proposed ARIS as a promising candidate for future 6G applications.
