Loss Minimum Control and Full Parameter Online Identification of SPMSM Considering Iron Loss

This paper proposes a loss minimum control and full-parameter online identification strategy for surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM), taking into account the influence of iron loss. Firstly, the analytical expression of the d-axis current satisfying the loss minimum constraint and the criterion reflecting the loss situation is deduced from two perspectives: direct and indirect solving methods. Secondly, this paper focuses on an online parameters identification method, including the iron loss resistance. A lumped-parameter-based mathematical model for SPMSM parameter identification is proposed, enabling the online estimation of stator resistance, inductance, permanent magnet flux linkage, and iron loss resistance. By integrating these two aspects, the proposed method ensures accurate setting of the current references under loss-minimization constraints, and achieving loss minimum control of SPMSM. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by experiment.
