Integrated DC to DC Converter for Renewable Energy Applications

This work presents a novel Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station (CS) it incorporates Renewable Energy Sources (RES) to facilitate effective EV charging. In order to diminish dependence on the grid and encourage environmentally friendly charging, Photovoltaic (PV) panels serve as the primary source of renewable energy and is appropriate for charging EVs. Initially, the EV battery is accused with PV energy. The PV system is fed into the grid when it produces more electricity than required. Since the PV system generates low voltage, a suitable converter is needed to raise the level of voltage. This work develops a SEPIC-Buck converter to increase the voltage of a PV panel. After converting the DC supply to AC, $3 \phi$ VSI delivers output voltage to grids. An LC filter is subsequently used to send the voltage that is acquired to the grid. The proposed system is implemented using MATLAB with higher efficiency of 93%, better reactive power compensation and less switching losses.
