Automated Access Control System Using Biometric Authentication Technologies

Identification cards and passwords are two examples of traditional access control systems that are becoming more vulnerable to exploitation due to the increase in modern attacks on cyber security. This paper describes an Automated Access Control System (AACS) that combines scanning of fingerprints and recognition of facial features to improve security through multimodal biometric identification. While the use of fingerprints provides a strong secondary verification method, the recognition of facial features feature uses Eigenface and Local Binary Patterns Histograms (LBPH) algorithms to guarantee precise identification under a variety of circumstances. A database called MySQL is used to facilitate effective data processing and continuous tracking, while Java is used for both frontend and backend platform activities. The layout, design, development process, and efficiency assessment of the system are all covered in detail in this book. The findings suggest that the suggested AACS is a workable option for safe buildings in the public, commercial, and educational fields since it greatly enhances the user experience and fortifies access control mechanisms.
