Sustainable UX/UI Design - One Step to The Responsible Software

The paper discusses specific features of the responsible web design. The concepts of responsible and sustainable software are directly related to energy consumption, which for this decade is a pressing issue. The paper presents research on the energy efficiency of designing user experience/user interface (UX/UI). The main design approaches are discussed – responsive, adaptive and mobile-first. Different implementations of web elements are explored and on this basis some recommendations are given. The paper ends with outlined principles of the responsible UX/UI design.
