A Dynamic Approach of Web Pages’ Rendering based on Network Speed

The main objective of this work is to develop an adaptive mechanism for web page rendering based on the network speed. Except for the original version (V1) of a web page, we proposed to construct two other versions - medium loaded V2, and lightly loaded V3. The V2 is constructed using a combined method of script minification and image compression. While alt-text and image captioning are clubbed with script minification for the construction of V3. The LSTM method is used for image captioning. To verify our proposed rendering approach, fifty different web pages (size varies from 7.82 KB to 13209.63 KB) were considered. It was observed that our proposed approach can reduce web page load with an average of 75.09% for V2 and 81.92% for V3 versions.
