Chaotic image encryption algorithm based on diagonal rotational disruption in Rubik's cube stereospace

Most of the existing Rubik's cube disruption algorithms use parallel rotation disruption without considering the disruption along the diagonal of the cube. In this paper, a chaotic image encryption algorithm based on diagonal rotation disruption in Rubik's cube stereospace is proposed. Firstly, the algorithm generates chaotic sequences using Logistic mapping and integerizes them. Then the plain image is divided into three channels, R, G, and B. The two-dimensional pixel matrix is transformed into a three-dimensional matrix, which is dynamically controlled by the integer sequence to perform the diagonal rotational disruption. The disrupted 3D matrix is converted into a 2D matrix and then XOR with the chaotic matrix. Finally, the diffusion matrices of three channels are synthesized into the encrypted image. Computer simulation is applied to compare and analyze the performance indexes of this algorithm with the existing algorithms, and the effectiveness is confirmed.
