Displacement Monitoring Using ISAC Systems in the Presence of Strong Static Clutter

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems can be used for displacement monitoring. However, static clutter significantly degrades the displacement measurement accuracy. The existing methods neglect clutter or lack theoretical analysis. We introduce a data model that takes into account the static clutter and provide Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) analysis. We also propose an iterative algorithm to remove the static clutter effectively and estimate the displacement accurately. Numerical examples are provided to show that the proposed iterative algorithm is almost optimal.
