Hydropipe Energy: Harnessing Household Water Flow For Sustainable Power

Renewable energy from natural sources such as water, sunlight, and wind offers a sustainable alternative for electricity generation. This project presents the Hydropipe Generator with Charger Controller, an innovative system that harnesses hydro energy from indoor water flow to produce electricity within household pipelines. The system integrates a micro-hydro generator that uses the movement of water to drive a turbine, generating power independently of the main electrical grid. Designed as a backup energy source for residential and dormitory bathrooms, the generated electricity is regulated and stored in a rechargeable battery via a charger controller, ensuring a stable power supply for essential devices. The system powers an Arduino UNO with an LCD display for real-time battery monitoring, a mini exhaust fan for ventilation, and an emergency light for illumination during outages. Unlike conventional backup systems that rely on solar panels, this approach utilizes the continuous availability of water flow within pipelines, providing a practical and energy-efficient alternative for small-scale power generation. The Hydropipe Generator enhances energy resilience, demonstrating a viable method of integrating hydro energy into daily household applications while promoting the use of renewable resources.
