Design and Manufacture of High Precision Data Acquisition System of Piezoresistive Sensor Array

The multiplexer plays an important role in the scanning process of resistive sensor array. However, it is important to note that the on-resistance of the multiplexer can affect the accuracy of the measurement results for the specific component under test. In our published research, we established the mathematical model of the on-resistance of the multiplexer and the measurement error of the measured element, and proposed an improved scanning circuit ZPMII to reduce the measurement error of the multiplexer. This paper will design a $16 \times 16$ piezoresistive sensor array data acquisition system based on the scanning circuit ZPMII. It includes the whole architecture design, the hardware module design, the printed circuit board design, the driver development, and the system performance test. The test results show that the lower computer system can acquire and transmit data stably and accurately, and the measurement error is less than 0.3 % under various working conditions.
