Research on Control of Electric Vehicle Heat Pump Air Conditioning System Based on Powered K-Means Clustering

Through the development of the electric vehicle industry, there is a rising demand for improved interior comfort. The heat pump air conditioning system plays an important part in achieving this, designing its performance optimization and control increasingly important. An important aim of this research is to reduce the power consumption under the premise of meeting load demands by proposing Powered K-Means Clustering (PKMC) approach. This research initially estimates the working principle of heat pump air conditioning system of electric vehicles and describes the complexity of its temperature control. An introduced optimal control approach for the frequency-variable heat pump AC system in terms of PKMC which offered a vigorous basis for an intelligent control of AC systems. The experimental results demonstrates that the proposed PKMC approach attains the compressor energy consumption of 83.43 kJ on deforest mode of high-pressure hot gas. The introduced framework lay the development for further enhancing a design of heat pump air conditioners for electric vehicles.
