Researches on Microscopic Vision Inspection for Defects in Minute Objects

Manual inspection of small parts under a microscope is labor-intensive and prone to errors due to human fatigue and subjective judgment. Aiming at the situation where small components are difficult to distinguish under normal imaging, a microscopic vision defect detection system was established to inspect the welding defects of small components. Automatic focusing was achieved by improving the hill-climbing search algorithm, focusing on the foreground and background areas of the component separately. Then, according to the multi-focus image fusion algorithm, the images of different focused areas collected were fused to obtain a complete and clear image. Finally, the clarity at the solder joint was evaluated using a clarity evaluation function, enabling automatic detection of solder joint defects.
