Research on the Mechanism and Modeling of “Drone + Rod” Physical Deicing Technology

In recent years, transmission line icing accidents have become serious, and many local power grids have adopted a new “drone + rod” physical deicing technology, but there is a lack of theoretical research. In this paper, the impact mechanism of this technology is studied, and the maximum allowable impact pressure is given based on the improved Hertz contact theory. In addition, this paper uses Abaqus to analyze the statics state of the wire and uses explicit dynamics to analyze the collision process. Then, the impact force change with time was simulated, which provided theoretical and modeling method support for further research on influencing factors of the deicing effect.
