Monoblock Dielectric Waveguide Filters Using Non-Resonating Nodes with Controllable Transmission Zeros

In this letter, monoblock dual-mode dielectric waveguide filters (DWFs) using non-resonating nodes (NRNs) are designed by cascading a dual-mode dielectric waveguide resonator (DWR) and a $\mathbf{TM}_{010}$ DWR. Resonance behaviors and coupling characteristics of the dual-mode DWR are comprehensively analyzed. Finally, 2-pole bandpass filters (BPFs) operating at 3.5 GHz with a flexibly controllable transmission zero (TZ) generated by introducing the NRN are simulated. The simulated results agree well with the synthesized results, validating the concept of the design.
