Simulation and Analysis of Half Bridge LLC Resonant Converter For High Efficiency Power Conversion

The Resonant converter maintains Zero Voltage Switching for lower losses and electromagnetic interference while optimizing performance for varying load and input circumstances by changing the switching frequency in relation to resonant frequency. It is perfect for uses like server power supply, battery chargers, and renewable energy systems because of its efficiency and adaptability. A half-bridge LLC resonant converter is designed and analyzed in this study, with an emphasis on how well it performs in three different operating modes: when the switching frequency is matching to, larger than, and smaller than the resonant frequency. The study examines the converter’s voltage and current properties in each mode, emphasizing how they affect operational stability, power transfer, and efficiency. The theoretical analysis is supported by simulation findings, which also provide information on how LLC resonant converters should be designed and operated for a variety of applications.
