OsteoPredict: Osteoporosis Risk Prediction using Machine Learning

Osteoporosis, marked by reduced bone strength and density, increases the risk of fractures and significantly impacts quality of life. Although primarily associated with older adults and postmenopausal women, it affects people of all ages. Early prediction and intervention are vital to prevent severe outcomes. This paper introduces OsteoPredict, a web-based tool leveraging machine learning (ML) to assess osteoporosis risk. It analyzes user-provided health data such as age, gender, dietary calcium intake, and bone density to deliver personalized risk predictions. The platform also includes secure data storage, enabling users and healthcare providers to track risk over time and encouraging proactive management. OsteoPredict simplifies complex medical evaluations, empowers individuals and clinicians to take preventive actions, and enhances global osteoporosis prevention and awareness.
