Feasibility of a Digital Platform for Enhancing Nutrition Counseling Education and Public Health Access

The integration of digital technologies into education has led to innovative solutions for enhancing student learning experiences, particularly in health-related fields. This study explores the feasibility of a web- and mobile-based digital platform developed in collaboration with Konsultan Gizi ID (KOZI) to support nutrition counseling education. The platform was utilized by 50 nutrition students to practice and receive feedback on counseling skills, with supervision provided through digital tools. This pilot study examined the platform usability, student satisfaction, and relevance to the existing curriculum through structured surveys. Findings suggest that the platform successfully facilitated remote supervision and interactive learning, contributing to the improvement of students communication and counseling competencies. While not designed for direct public health service delivery, the platform shows promise as an educational tool for preparing future nutrition professionals. The collaboration with KOZI provided a simulated counseling environment rather than a direct assessment of KOZI service performance. Future development will focus on incorporating features that align with student needs, such as interactive case simulations, structured feedback mechanisms, and digital resource libraries to enhance learning outcomes and practice readiness.
