Livestock Management using RFID Technology and Predictive Analytics for Enhanced Farm Efficiency

Today, the farmers find handling livestock a difficult job, since most of the job is still manual. In this age of technology, where almost everything is possible, agriculture has to be one of the most lagging sectors. To improve the scenario, we introduce the application of RFID technology to track animals. Each animal in farm is assigned a unique ID, and all related information will be recorded in a database through this tag. when RFID tags are scanned, the stored information is displayed on a digital interface. The system is designed and implemented in such a way that it uses an RC522 RFID scanner module and an ESP32 microcontroller that manages and processes data. Using this, veterinarians can track data regarding feed intake, health records, vaccination schedules, medication plans, breeding plans, and birth planning. Further, the Apriori algorithm from machine learning is employed for the prediction of birth dates and management of vaccination schedules. The system will help in saving time and thus making the process efficient, less strenuous, and easier toward the labor intensive tasks of livestock management.
