AI-Driven Insights into Emerging Technology Adoption in Indonesia Financial Sector

Emerging technologies play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation in the financial sector, offering opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service innovation. This study investigates the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in identifying adoption trends within Indonesia financial industry. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research leverages five AI tools ChatGPT, Gemini, Elicit, Jenni, and Perplexity to assess ten emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Nanotechnology. Key findings highlight that AI, IoT, and Datafication have achieved widespread adoption, while technologies like Extended Reality and Blockchain face regulatory and infrastructural challenges. Discrepancies in the integration of AI, Nanotechnology, and New Energy are also observed, despite their growing recognition. Industry practitioners emphasize the necessity of overcoming regulatory barriers and strengthening digital infrastructure for successful technology adoption. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing cybersecurity protocols, updating regulatory frameworks, and promoting cross-industry collaboration to facilitate the seamless integration of innovative technologies. Further research should explore the economic impact of AI and governance strategies to support sustainable digital transformation in Indonesia financial sector. These insights offer critical guidance for industry stakeholders aiming to optimize the integration of advanced technologies within the financial landscape.
