This abstract provides an overview of a method that can be utilized to control the speed of an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) Drive by utilizing PI controller technologies. A closed-loop speed control system for the IPMSM is implemented through the utilization of the proposed approach, which makes use of integrated peripherals. The system utilizes sensor feedback, typically from Hall Effect sensors or encoder feedback, to measure the motor speed in real-time. A proportional-integral (PI) controller algorithm is employed to regulate the motor speed by adjusting the current supplied to the motor based on the difference between the desired speed setpoint and the measured speed feedback. Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is a technique used in the final step of field-oriented control (FOC) to determine the pulse-width modulated signals for the inverter switches.
