Investigation of PVDF/Graphene Membranes For Sensing Applications

Graphite (Gr) is widely esteemed as an economical filler for conducting composites, given its strong electrical conductivity. We utilized the solvent casting technique to manufacture conducting composite films, employing polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as base polymer and Gr as the filling material. The resulting membrane demonstrates significant promise for the fabrication of electromagnetically compatible electronic devices, owing to its advantages of being cost-effective, lightweight, and flexible. This paper focuses on the analysis of the sensing performance of a membrane composed of graphite and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). Notably, Sample C3, containing 50% graphite, exhibits the best results in terms of sensitivity and gauge factor. Furthermore, Sample C3 demonstrates a notably high voltage of 5V compared to the other samples.
