A Novel Dual Switch Based High Gain DC-DC Converter

This paper presents a Dual Switch-based High Gain DC-DC Converter (DSHGC) for DC microgrid and renewable energy applications. The proposed DSHGC provides high efficiency, reduced voltage stress on passive components, and high voltage gain at lower duty cycle values. It has a common ground and a continuous input current, which simplifies the circuit and reduces noise interference, thereby enhancing its overall performance. Additionally, it has less input current ripple due to the presence of input inductance. Steady state analysis and working principle of the proposed DSHGC are discussed. Also, its functionality was confirmed through the execution of the Matlab Simulink model.
