Molecular Dynamics Modelling of the Tritium Plasma Retention in Graphene with Atomic Simulation Environment

Tokamak nuclear fusion reactors face challenges in material structure and plasma interactions, resulting in extensive study. High-energy plasma ions change material surface structures. Understanding the sort of change processes on the material surface, such as chemical or physical sputtering or retention events, is crucial. This study models graphene tritium plasma retention molecular dynamics. The simulations showed that kinetic and potential energy positively linked with tritium ion retention. These findings imply that tritium ions and graphene interact to affect energy states and provide approaches to optimize fusion reactor material performance. How stable and long-lasting graphene is when exposed to plasma over time needs further study. This would help us envision its future uses. The work demonstrates that the kinetic and potential energy variations of plasma contacts in the graphene layer of the Tokamak nuclear fusion reactor walls affect tritium plasma ion behavior.
