Transformation of Warehouse Operations at JSC "QARMET" Through A Smart Management System

The experience of implementing a smart warehouse system for hot-rolled coils at the JSC "Qarmet" enterprise is an important stage in the digitalization and automation of warehouse logistics in the metallurgical industry. The smart warehouse system includes the use of advanced technologies, such as robotic cranes for automatic coil handling, digital warehouse management platforms (WMS) that integrate with the company's ERP systems. The implementation of these technologies has significantly increased the efficiency of warehouse operations, reduced costs and improved the environmental performance of enterprises. This experience demonstrates the successful use of innovations in the metallurgical industry, contributing to increased competitiveness and sustainable development of the company at the global level. The aim of the study is to analyze and develop a model for implementing a smart warehouse management system at JSC "Qarmet" in order to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs and optimize warehouse operations. Scientific novelty lies in: development of an adapted model of a smart warehouse management system that takes into account the specifics of a metallurgical enterprise; study of the impact of digital solutions on the speed and accuracy of warehouse operations; development of recommendations for the integration of smart management systems with the SAP ERP system used at the enterprise; assessment of the economic efficiency of implementing an intelligent warehouse based on the data of JSC "Qarmet". The practical significance is expressed in: reducing operating costs due to automation of warehouse processes; increasing the accuracy of inventory accounting; optimizing logistics processes and reducing cargo handling time; increasing the level of safety of warehouse operations due to minimization of the human factor.
