Building Trust: A Conceptual Architecture to Detect Disinformation and Reduce its Influence in Contemporary Society

Nowadays, security is one of the key topics covered in different events, from scientific to social, underlining the importance and relevance of it in a variety of scenarios. Researchers, industry and lawmakers join forces to try to limit the effects generated by cybercriminals, organized crime or even statal organizations. Disinformation is one of the topics that is gaining relevance and spread in the online environment, from election influencing, to social and economic manipulation, all contributing to the overall daily challenges that law enforcement agencies need to tackle. A comprehensive analysis will be performed to understand the current status and challenges, in order to determine the gap. In the end, the goal of the current proposition is to provide a conceptual architecture for a platform that would enhance security in contemporary society by limiting the spread of false information in the online environment.
