Miniature electromagnetic induction heating system based on low-voltage lithium battery

Electromagnetic induction heating circuits are generally used in medium to large-scale high-voltage, high-current metal quenching applications. Currently, there is limited exploration and design of electromagnetic induction heating circuits for micro low-voltage lithium battery applications. This paper addresses the demand for electromagnetic induction heating in low-voltage lithium battery applications, employing mainstream electromagnetic induction heating principles. We conducted exploratory research on electromagnetic induction heating technology for low-voltage lithium batteries, testing ZVS electromagnetic induction heating, half-bridge electromagnetic induction heating, and full-bridge electromagnetic induction heating circuits. Test results indicate that electromagnetic induction heating for low-voltage lithium batteries can heat metal components to 200-300°C within 30 seconds. Under equivalent heating current conditions, the full-bridge electromagnetic induction heating circuit exhibits the highest heating efficiency and best heating effect. Additionally, experiments were conducted to study the induction heating efficiency of low-voltage heating coils, different electromagnetic induction receiver materials, and their thicknesses. Experimental results show that setting the electromagnetic coil to 7 turns achieves the best heating effect for ferrous materials.
