A Blockchain Model for the Metaverse

The rapid development of the metaverse has brought about transformative potential across industries, yet it raises critical challenges related to privacy, security, accessibility, environmental sustainability, and decentralization. To address these issues, this paper introduces an innovative blockchain model specifically designed to natively integrate with metaverse concepts. The proposed approach features a novel block validation algorithm based on an augmented reality challenge, enhancing user engagement and decreasing energy requirements. Additionally, it employs distributed storage at the network edge, leveraging end-user devices to reduce latency and reliance on centralized data centers. This solution directly addresses the pressing need for a more private, secure, and sustainable metaverse infrastructure while fostering the true decentralization that the metaverse promises.
