Resource Allocation for Wireless Scalable Video Multicast in OTFS Systems

Mobile multimedia is a key focus in next-generation communications. To provide reliable video multicast services in high-mobility scenarios, we propose a novel scalable video multicast framework based on the orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) system. In our proposed framework, a base station selects video layers for downlink transmission, which are carried by delay-Doppler domain resource blocks (DDRB). To maximize the sum utility, we formulate a resource allocation problem where video layer selection, DDRB assignment and power allocation are jointly optimized. A resource allocation strategy for wireless scalable video multicast over OTFS systems is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms existing baseline schemes in terms of utility metric, with an improvement of at least 10%.
