Design and Research of a Novel Automated Assembly System Based on Industrial Robot

This paper presents an efficient automated assembly system based on industrial robots to meet the automated assembly requirements of precision reducer models. The automated assembly system comprises an industrial robot module, a flexible assembly line driven by stepper motors, and a Siemens PLC 1200 control system. High-precision assembly of the reducer models is achieved through forward and reverse motion control of the assembly line conveyor belt, secondary positioning cylinder compensation technology, and a multi-station collaborative scheduling algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the system achieves a 100% success rate in part grasping and a 100% success rate in assembly for both red and blue reducer models, with stable and reliable system operation. This research provides an innovative solution for the intelligent assembly of complex and precision mechanical components, offering engineering application value.
