Research on Acoustic Fuze Array Design and Beamforming Method

Addressing the application requirements of acoustic fuzes, which differ from acoustic homing in terms of shorter operating distances, shorter computation times, and higher working frequencies, this study designs a wide-angle acoustic fuze array and investigates an optimized beamforming algorithm based on second-order cone programming. First, a base array model for torpedo acoustic fuzes is established, followed by beam pattern simulations for both linear and arc arrays to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of these configurations. A circular arc array suitable for acoustic fuzes is then designed. Based on the characteristics of the circular arc array, a second-order cone programming beamforming algorithm is developed for this array type. By constructing various optimization criteria, beam design methods are provided that meet practical requirements for main lobe width, sidelobe level, and null depth. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a wider signal detection range and effectively suppresses strong directional interference and omnidirectional noise.
